Sunshine Society, an NGO within One Hamlet, has garnered recognition for its impactful Raddi Collection Initiative, which occurs monthly and encourages residents to donate their recyclable raddi. The proceeds from this initiative are utilized to sponsor the education of talented yet underprivileged children from the slum areas of Noida.
Initiated in 2017 under the guidance of Col. Apurva Tandon, a former Army Officer and AOH resident, alongside numerous children and other residents as volunteers, this initiative has flourished over the past seven years.
The proceeds have benefited hundreds of children, many of whom have successfully completed their college education, including engineering, and secured positions in prestigious companies like HCL, among others.
The latest success story in this journey is Prince Paul, an underprivileged child supported by the Sunshine Society since his 8th grade. He has recently completed his college education and secured a position as a software developer in a prominent IT company.
Through the simple act of donating recyclable raddi, the lives of hundreds of children have been transformed, lifting them out of environments of hardship and nurturing them into contributing citizens of the country.
We appeal to all residents to rally in support of this noble cause and encourage your children to participate as volunteers. You can do so by sharing their names and tower numbers via WhatsApp at +91 9999163336.
Together, let’s make a difference in the lives of these deserving children.
