Sunshine Helios celebrated Durga puja organised by the Durga Puja committee in the society club house after a gap of 3 years. All the residents were waiting very eagerly for this event. Puja started on Shashti with Bodhan and Adhibash (welcoming Ma Durga). Next 3 days Saptami, Astami and Nabami puja was performed. Many offered pushpanjali . On Sandhi Puja 108 lotuses were offered to Ma and 108 diyas were lighted. On Nabami , Havan was done. On Dashami morning after the Ghat Bisarjan, ladies mostly in white and red saree participated in Sindur khela. Throughout the puja, amazing dhak was played by a dhaki who came from a remote village in West Bengal. Many danced on dhak beats with dhunuchi during the evening Arti .There was a cultural program organised by the Durga Puja committee on Saptami where residents from tiny toddlers to senior citizen ladies participated with lot of enthusiasm. It was great to watch the children performing dance, singing, painting. Last but not the least we had amazing bhog everyday for 3 days. Overall the puja brought back the positive vibes in the society after the COVID era. We have already started longing for next year’s Puja. Ashche bochor abaar hobe
