The Suncity Winter Championship was more than just a cricket tournament—it was a heartfelt tribute to the dedicated gardeners who maintain the lush parks (18 of them) that make the township so picturesque. Organised by the Suncity Sports Community and SRWA, the event featured six teams, each named after a park within the community. For three days, residents enjoyed exciting matches, with Team Park 4, led by Vivek Sharma, securing the championship title after defeating Tyre Park Team, led by Abhimanyu Khanna in a thrilling final. The Gardener team, honored as Guests of Honour, enjoyed the matches from the sidelines and was celebrated with snacks, coffee, and a warm round of applause from the community. Later, they joined President Kuldeep Rana and Joint Secretary Abhimanyu Khanna for the award ceremony. Awards were presented to the top performers, including Akash Malik, who was named Best Bowler and Player of the Tournament, and Abhimanyu Khanna, who won Best Batsman. In his final speech, President Kuldeep Rana emphasized the importance of teamwork, unity, and community involvement, reminding everyone that it is the collective efforts of residents and volunteers that make Suncity thrive.
