Summer of Discontent

At the risk of sounding too sensationalist can i just predict a few things. On scientific data we seem to be heading for a very bad summer. Feb touched a record warmth; El Nino is coming. Europe last summer touched awkward degrees, very little snow in Europe, no winter rain in India.

We are in for a tough ride.

Let’s fend for ourselves and do what we can for ourselves rather than send messages and laments later.

1. Make sheds and cover for your plants and pots.
2. Paint your roofs with white paint or safedi.
3. Still time to get solar panels. They are very effective and pay for themselves very easily.
4. A washing machine while being very effective as a machine can be used to extract at least 3 to 4 buckets of slightly soapy water. Good for sweeping floors and driveways.
5. Please counsel your staff to avoid using hose pipes. Speak to your neighbors if you see misuse.
6. Add chicks and sun reflective films on your glass windows and glass doors. Stop the sun heating your walls and windows.
   I am sure there are many other things you can do. But pl start now.
