In this oppressive summer and how are you coping with acute water shortage in most parts of India especially the southern states?
Talking of summer heat, here is an interesting news item for a scientist like me who teaches Chemical Thermodynamics & enjoys doing frugal societal relevant innovations for which I received First Prize in Innovation from National Science Center Delhi (NSCD), Ministry of Culture, Government of India in February 2023.
Even a bad Juggad or innovation gets media publicity: Incidentally, I recently designed one power & water saving prototype for this summer which is very different from power consuming AC & water consuming desert water coolers being sold commercially which subsequently becomes the breeding ground for mosquitoes and even lizards & other insects take refuge inside these due to oppressive heat in our summers.
At this stage, I am sparing you the details. “Since a picture is worth thousand words…”, I am sharing a picture and a video of the working prototype. If it interests you, let me know, then I will share the working principle, proper thermodynamics and the chemistry behind this frugal contraption for this summer.
