The frustration level of the hard working, honest; heavily taxed, forever taken for granted Middle Class resident has been running high since a long time. Over time the anger has gradually turned to despair and disenchantment with the electoral process, as none of the candidates represent a meaningful choice. However, this time around, a slim glimmer of hope seems to be surfacing on the horizon.
The Federation of Apartment Owners Association (FAOA) has decided to field two Independent candidates in the forthcoming Haryana Assembly elections representing Gurugram and Badshahpur Assemblies; Sanjay Lal and Ajay Sharma respectively.
The Federation of Apartment Owners Association (FAOA), a body consisting of homebuyers which is fielding these candidates, stressed they would represent the “demands of urban residents.”
Sanjay Lal is the Secretary of Ambience Lagoon Apartments and the President of Federation of Apartment Owners Association (FAOA).
Following is an excerpt from the WA message that Sanjay Lal has circulated to various society groups and RWA’s:
“As you must be aware, we the home owners have been suffering since last 20 years and not a single person has been represented in politics and administration.” We are being taken for granted.
In view of this and to send a strong signal to the administration and political parties, the RWAs got together and decided to take things in their own hands. Hence this move. I request you to please join the movement for making Gurugram and our environment liveable.
Winning or not winning is not an issue. All we need to project is that a middle class, tax payer should not be taken for granted and not made to run pillar to post for basics in life.
