Celebrating 81 Vibrant Years:
Sudesh Gogia, the ever-energetic senior of Safdarjung Enclave, celebrated his 81st birthday this year like no other. Known for his youthful enthusiasm that rivals an 18-year-old, Gogia’s spirit is infectious among his friends and community. His birthday was commemorated by Yoga Pariwar at Deer Park, continuing their tradition of celebrating each member’s special day with warmth and camaraderie. A gathering of spirited seniors convened in the early hours, starting the day with lively conversations. Later, an assortment of tea and delectable snacks, including samosas, were served, contributed graciously by the women of the group. What made the day uniquely memorable was Gogia’s initiative to mark his birthday in an eco-friendly manner. He ardently propagated 40 mango plants, specifically the chausa and langda varieties, to honour the occasion sustainably. To ensure the success of this green endeavour, he arranged for pits to be meticulously dug and gardeners to assist the Yoga Pariwar in planting these saplings. The celebration included heartfelt speeches and birthday wishes from dear friends and admirers such as Prof Nirmala, Ramesh Malhotra, Kapila, and Naresh Mallick. Their words paid tribute to Gogia’s enduring vitality and generous spirit, wishing him health and happiness. Embodying an excellent example of how birthdays can be commemorated in harmony with nature, Gogia’s celebration underscores the power of community and sustainable living. Team Samvada extends its best wishes, we admire Gogia’s dedication to staying energetic and eco-friendly. Here’s to more years of celebrating life’s special moments in the most vibrant and sustainable ways possible! Happy Birthday, Mr. Gogia, from your ever-supportive community.
