On Friday, 4th October 2024 a successful snake rescue was carried out in GK2 E block. Rajesh Kumar of E-273, first reported the snake’s presence. Later, the snake entered the basement of E-263, as informed by resident Mr. Piyush. GKIIWA promptly contacted the Forest Department and their team along with a wildlife NGO arrived swiftly to manage the situation. The rescue team acted quickly, safely capturing the snake, which would then be released into its natural habitat. No harm came to the snake or residents, thanks to the prompt coordination between the community and the authorities. We commend the residents for their vigilance and timely reporting, which helped prevent any risk. Kudos to the dedicated Forest Department team involved in the rescue.
