The nine auspicious days of Navratra are celebrated with bhakti and fervour in Subhkamna apartments. This is the time when residents along with the security staff, electrician, housekeeping team, all bond with eagerness and are proactive to make these days special for the blessings of Devi Shakti. This year too, Chitra Navratra that began on 22 March saw the same spirit with which Subhkamna has been celebrating for the last 17 years when the families moved in.
All the nine days the puja is done in the society Club House. The sequence of the puja followed on these days is: It begins with Durga paath, then keertans/bhajans, followed by aarti and the distribution of bhog/prasad. This pattern of rituals is being followed religiously and respectfully all the years.
Preparation for the elaborate community puja is done with devotion and sincerity. Ladies take the initiative and in turns, individually or in groups, clean up the Darbar (puja area) and make fresh arrangements each day in organizing the puja items and prasad.
The systematic arrangement of rituals is done by the ladies. The participants’ age range between 20+ and 80+, and they work enthusiastically in sync. They come forward and see to it that the nine-day bonding is cherished with abundance of happiness and goodwill in the society.
Samvada team was impressed to know about this well-organized community celebration held for all these years in F-block, Sector-50.
This year a Bhandara was held at the society gate. In this also the residents whole-heartedly contributed and the event was managed by Subhkamna RWA. Residents and outsiders got the opportunity to receive the bhog. Organizers got to serve almost 350 people, which was a fulfilling part of the nine-day celebration.
