To celebrate 76 glorious years of Independence ARA hosted a series of events. To inculcate the feeling of patriotism a painting competition was organized on 13th August for different age groups from 3 years to 13 years. Prizes were announced on 15th. Names of the prize winners are as follows –
Under 3 – 1st – Riyan – H N 29, 2nd – Divyam Rai – H N 34.
Age 4-6 only two entrées- Rihaan & Anisha – both H N – 47 & both were given prizes.
Age – 7-10 – 1st prize – Nyrah- H N – 29, 2nd prize – Aayushman Shukla – H N BSES.
Age – 11-13 – 1st prize – Aashman Shukla H N – BSES, 2nd prize – Vedant – H N – 11 A, 3rd prize – Varun Goel H N – 11 A
For prize winners we distributed pictorial books of national leaders & Ramayana & Mahabharata characters as per age groups. This was followed by a soccer match and the young boys played with all their might. The youngest lot came dressed as national leaders for a fancy dress competition. All looked very cute in the costumes of Gandhi, Subhashchandra Bose & Bhagat Singh. They also spoke a few lines which were full of enthusiasm.
The national flag was hoisted with a lot of enthusiasm by both senior citizens and youngsters alike. This was followed by Chai pe Gupshup with the snacks being prepared by the residents. This was a great success as everyone enjoyed the snacks prepared at home and moreover it was fun sitting and gossiping together after a long time. There was a feeling of camaraderie and patriotism amongst the residents. Proud to be an Indian.
