It is very important to manage stray dogs in any society by the way of sterilization, vaccination and responsible pet ownership. This involves capturing, sterilizing, vaccination and releasing stray dogs back to their original territory.
Recently we had few incidents in our block of biting or aggressive dog chasing residents.
As RWA we brought this to the attention of local authorities. Communicated with feeders and with their support got the dog sent for treatment.
As RWA General Secretary, I personally get involved if there are any new pups born and on streets try to get them adopted. Recently a resident shared pics of new born and requested if they could be adopted.
Let’s All work together towards stray management initiative and make our surrounding and streets safe!!! Let’s reduce the number of free-roaming dogs with no owners to an acceptable level; reduce risk rabies; promote responsible ownership.
