The stray dog menace in GK-2 continues unabated with several cases of dog bites being reported at regular frequency. In a recent incident, an S Block resident was bitten by a stray dog in the W Block Park while he was there on his morning walk on 9th May‘24. The resident has filed a police complaint in this regard. Residents should take care to avoid feeding stray dogs in public places as this makes the dogs territorial and aggressive towards other people in that area. In another related incident, a W Block resident had an altercation with a woman resident who was walking her dog in the same park around the same time without taking proper precautions thereby endangering the safety of the other walkers in the park. Here too, the residents would do well to take due care to control their pets while taking them out in public places.
