It is an interesting story of a young homemaker who turned into a successful and famous image consultant. Aarti Sharma founded 360 Degree Image Makeovers to help professionals develop their inner strengths and reflect on the outside by working on A- Appearance, B- Behaviour, and C- Communication (ABC of Image Management). It was a pleasure meeting her to know how she became an image consultant.
Aarti ji, tell us about your journey.
I was born in Chandigarh, and studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya. My father was a government employee at that time and my mother was a homemaker. We moved to Delhi as my parents started a business and I went on to do my graduation from Delhi University. There was not much need to earn money so the next natural step was to get married.
What changed thereafter?
At the age of 28, when I was a mother of one, I attended a session on Bhagwad Gita and found my true calling. I immersed myself in the study of the Bhagwad Gita and then started to give classes to people to imbibe the teachings of the Bhagwad Gita into their daily lives. I conduct a weekly class every Tuesday at my house in GK 1.
How did you develop an interest in image makeover?
At the age of 45, when my children went abroad to pursue their dreams, I decided to re-invent myself as I was very impressed with Lord Krishna’s style, smile and strategic approach!
How did you pursue the idea?
I enrolled myself in the Image Management Program, where I learnt the framework of crafting a new self-image, which helped transform my life. I am also a certified soft skills trainer.
How did you convert this learning into business?
I used my knowledge of image management and soft skills to create a program that helps mid-career professionals reach the next level in their careers by working on their self-image.

Aarti ji, how do you feel when you look back?
I feel I have come a long way and that makes me more responsible to help other women who wish to re-invent their lives and make their dreams come true.
What is your message to women?
You can do anything you want in life if you work for it relentlessly! Also, remember – Clarity comes along the way, so take that first step, and you will definitely reach your destination.
