Yana’s Musical Journey Has Been One of Perseverance & Passion
A Young musical prodigy Yana Jerath, the daughter of Sandeep Jerath and granddaughter of HL Jerath, has emerged as a rising star in the world of music. She has been awarded the prestigious ‘High Achiever’ title for 2024 (Grade 4, Vocal) by the esteemed Rockschool of Music, London, a recognition that underscores her dedication and talent in Western music.
Yana’s musical journey has been one of perseverance and passion. For the past two years, she has been honing her skills in Western music at Lydian Music Academy, Safdarjung Enclave, while simultaneously training in Hindustani Classical Music at Gandharv Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi, for the past five years. This unique blend of classical and contemporary training has helped shape her into a versatile and accomplished vocalist.
Her love for music began during her time at Jesus and Mary College, where she first discovered her deep connection with the art form. She attributes her success to the guidance of her esteemed gurus, the unwavering support of her family, and the blessings of her grandfather, HL Jerath, a renowned poet and reciter.
