Basant Panchami, a vibrant festival marking the arrival of spring, was celebrated with great joy and compassion this year by students and teachers of Unnati (a school of learning). In a heartwarming initiative, we organized a special event to commemorate the occasion with children from humble background, spreading the essence of joy, learning, and inclusivity.
The event began with a prayer session, where children, filled with enthusiasm, joined in singing hymns and chants, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge, wisdom, and artistry. Following the prayers, we embarked on a gesture of generosity by distributing stationery items among the children. Each child received essential educational material. The gleaming smiles on their faces radiated gratitude and excitement, as they eagerly held onto their newfound treasures, symbolizing the empowerment that education brings.
Moreover, to sweeten the festivities, we distributed an assortment of sweets and delicacies among the children. The celebration not only provided the children with material possessions but also instilled in them a sense of belonging, care, and encouragement.
