All the sports facilities at AOH needed some TLC. The AOA BOM & the Sports Committee have been working assiduously to renovate these. But rather than write about the upgraded facilities, I wanted to talk about their inaugurations which were done in a thoughtful manner.
The chief guests for the inaugurations were the players, both adults & children alike. It was heartening to see sports enthusiasts turn up for the inaugurations despite the biting cold. A total delight was to see the children beaming with joy when they got a chance to cut the ribbons.
After the inaugurations, the guests tried their hands on the renovated courts. Adding to the thrill was the provision of hot coffee & tea. The first to be inaugurated was the Badminton Court followed by the Squash Court, the Lawn Tennis Court & the new Cricket Nets (which we will speak about more in the next edition).
Residents exclaimed, “The court looks awesome.”, “Great job”, and “So encouraging for all of us to get more active”.
From our side, it’s a humble appeal to all residents to maintain the upgraded sports facilities & to use them only for the intended purpose.
