The cold Thursday morning of 26 January, the 74th Republic Day, got a warm welcome from the residents of Sector 92 with the gracious presence of the children, the young and the experienced.
The residents came out in vibrant traditional attire with a smile and enthusiasm up their sleeves. The festival of Basant Panchami added to the festive spirit, bringing happiness and joy to this eventful Republic Day.
Everyone gathered at the Community Centre, Sector 92, at 11 am with family and friends to celebrate Republic day. Vandana Tripathi (IAS) OSD, Director Horticulture Noida Authority, was invited to be the chief guest. The National Flag was unfurled followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
The RWA Sector 92 has been preparing for this Great Day to open Sports Arena for the residents of the sector. In the sports centre a badminton court, along with a cricket net practice ground was constructed, which was inaugurated by the chief guest. The sports activity zone has been built in the surroundings of the community centre, which is a social zone for the residents.
Mrs Tripathi addressed the youth and young residents, encouraging them to participate in sports activities and outdoor events. She emphasized on the physical activities and urged the adults to come along with children to use this great facility which has been so painstakingly built by the RWA 92 for the residents.
The children of the sector brought paintings, drawings and sketches depicting historical events, national heroes and anything related to our country India. The children were presented gifts for their work and efforts in drawing about India.
On a cold morning, the residents were served hot pakoras, sandwiches and mouth-watering gulab jamuns along with hot piping tea. The brunch was thoroughly enjoyed by the residents and everyone had a great time. All thanks to the efforts of RWA Sector 92, everyone appreciated their efforts and came out in full support of the way things are improving in the sector.
