The latest buzz from our senior citizens forum (SCF) was to plan and organise the much-needed session on the “legal rights of senior citizens”. As we all know that during the last few years
there are many changes or say improvements in the legal system of India, it was important to invite the legal experts to conduct a special session in Def Col. The energetic team of SCF led by Mr Bawa and supported by Col NK Malhotra coordinated with the South East district legal services authority (Saket Courts) to visit JCO club complex on 19 Oct.
The SCF communicated to their elite senior members and all the residents of Def Col to come on 19 Oct at 5 PM for this interactive session. It was nice to see that more than 75 seniors attending this program with their queries and issues faced. The team of Saket court ensured that all the important rights of senior citizens were explained in the simplest manner to the audience. There were many seniors who asked their direct questions and were quite satisfied with the latest legal rights for them to take care of them legally to enjoy rest of the life. Col. Malhotra who was the main anchor for the event spoke about the benefits of legal support to the seniors. There were many dignitaries present including Mr Bawa, Chairman-SCF, Harjit Singh and EC team members of DCA’s. The program ended with Tea and refreshments for all the guests. The seniors were quite impressed with this program and requested to organise more in near future.
