Prompted by a casual observation that Books for All (BFA) is not providing books to Blind Students, BFA launched SPARSH in October 2023. ‘Sparsh’ means ‘touch’ and it beautifully symbolizes the act of understanding written words through the sense of touch.
As part of the Sparsh initiative, we have embarked on a journey to provide Braille storybooks, ensuring that visually impaired students can enjoy the pleasure of reading. To date, we have given a total of 190 Braille storybooks to 10 different institutions for the visually impaired, bringing the magic of storytelling literally to their fingertips.
The objective is to initially provide storybooks in Braille to schools and institutions for Blind across India which will impact their learning outcomes. Going forward, our goal is to connect with at least 160 institutions, offering not only books but also other modern tools to enhance the educational experience of visually impaired individuals.
Our team comprising majorly of Sector-93 residents have stood strong. We look forward to your support as we continue to touch lives and make them better. You can reach out to us at 9810143368 (Deepa) or 7078529557 (Ujwal)
