New Year’s Eve was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement on the central lawn of Prateek Wisteria Society on the evening of December 31 to bid farewell to 2022 and
welcome the New Year 2023.
Colourful awnings and a very vibrant stage were set up at the venue of celebrations to give a festive look. The flooring was laid with designer carpets giving a royal look to the venue. The venue was beautifully decorated with hanging balloons and an artistically designed lighting arrangement, giving it a bridal look. At the entry gate of the society, multiple strings of multi-coloured balloons were displayed in arc form which looked very fascinating.
Inside the society, several stalls of Gol gappas, Tikki, Chaat pakori, Bhel Puri, Chhole Bhature, Kachori, Tea/Coffee and Kulfi etc, were put up. to serve hot ‘n’ fresh snacks. A very attractive sitting ambience was created with round tables surrounded by sets of chairs for the guests. The DJ dance floor was another added attraction to set the tone of the festivities. ‘Angeethies’ supported on stands were also placed at a few locations to keep the environment warm and cosy in the bone-chilling weather late at night.
The residents of Prateek Wisteria started pouring in immediately after the music was played. The residents looked very fresh, energetic, full of excitement and in a great festive mood for the ‘New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Almost all the stalls ran brisk business and the residents enjoyed the tempting, irresistible and finger-licking variety of snacks.
DJ Dhamal was the most hit and favourite event of the programme. The residents went crazy dancing very enthusiastically with full energy to the latest Bollywood numbers. The dance floor was jam-packed with a mix of all three generations and all were dancing in their fashion and self-styled steps. Dancers were repeatedly going to DJ and requesting him for their favourite songs.
After midnight, everyone wished each other ‘Happy New Year’ before dispersing. It was a very meticulously planned, beautifully organised and fun-filled event enjoyed and appreciated by the residents.
