SCRWA is happy to announce that the district authorities including DC, Gurugram Police and Department of Town Planning have granted permission to SCRWA to install Gates / boom barriers at six locations in South City -1. Currently this permission is being received for blocks A-M in sector 31 and 41. The file for Sector 40 (Block N-Q) is still under process.
This is the first step towards making South City 1 a gated complex, an unrealized dream of residents of South City 1 till now. This permission has come with stringent conditions that we have to install high resolution Cameras which can read number plates of all vehicles and we must create infrastructure and systems to store recordings for one year. Each boom barrier must be manned 24 hours.
Such a large project can only be successful if all the residents of South City come together and contribute, as a large Capital outlay is required and periodic contribution will be required to maintain security in the entire area. We have been given a window of 45 days to complete this exercise.
To make this initiative successful, a committee of residents from different blocks who are successfully managing their individual blocks has been formed.
1. Mukesh Malik (Head of the committee), 2. Yash Suneja; 3. Ayush Chauhan / Col. Sukhvir Singh; 4. Major Rajesh Arora.; 5. Sandeep Rathee; 6. Seema Gupta F Block
To ensure that the residents of South City 1 enjoy a safe and pleasant environment, the committee will determine the necessary funding requirements for the gates as per the terms and conditions of the approval granted by authorities.
All residents are requested to come forward and contribute towards a safe and secure South City 1.
