In a unique initiative, the RWA 39 has provided a wooden ironing desk and gas irons to the presswallahs of the Sector. We cannot do without the services of these presswallahs who in-variably collect our roughly folded load of clothes from our houses to return the crisply ironed and immaculately folded and stacked piles in the evening. The residents of a posh sector would shudder to imagine what their wardrobes would look like without this little service rendered by these modest service providers. Though they lend such an immaculate appearrance to our homes, their own workplaces have not been something to boast of! But that was a thing of the past – all thanks to the RWA.
With these modern tables, the look of their workplace has transformed. The table also has storage capacity – so that clothes can be easily and neatly stored. They do not have to worry about the clothes getting dirty lying open. Our team spoke to Soni Lal – the F Block presswallah. Though he was grateful and counted all the positive things about this new set up, was a little camera shy and conscious when we asked him to speak the same for our broadcast version.
The news of these tables has reached the other Sectors and now the RWAs have been expressing their wish to have a look. Its too early to comment on any cons but for now it seems a good idea and if more RWAs adopt it and provide modern press tables, Noida will definitely look a tad bit cleaner.
