Have you ever thought why we feel fresh and energised after swimming in the sea or bathing in the rivers? That’s because these water bodies have been charged by the Sun for thousands of years. Even in the olden days, many cities like Rome and Cairo used to have solarium – a glass enclosed room where one could expose and tan one’s skin under the Sun.
Can you now imagine what wonders it would do if you drank filtered water that is charged by the Sun? It is a lost science regaining its value fast. Today, it is known as Surya Chikitsa/ Sun Therapy/ Colour Therapy.
More and more people are practising this therapy and leading a healthy life. A few Hamletians too have been Sun charging their water for drinking. One of them is our Yoga Guru Supriya (T11) who has been drinking solarised water since COVID times.
Supriya came to know about it when she was studying Yoga and Ayurveda. She says, “It was when we wanted to work on our immunities which had become the need of the hour. I didn’t want to take any chance & this became an effective way to strengthen my family’s immune system. The Sun – charged water has anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial properties.”
Ashu (T4) has also been drinking solar water. She started believing in it when she noticed her daughter’s acne disappear after having solar water. I too have been practising solar water therapy for the past six years.
Solar water keeps you healthy, energetic and sharp, and keeps diseases at bay. Supriya mentions the benefits she observed. “I feel highly positive. I am energetic most of the day and have a better mood. My Vitamin D gets taken care of to some extent. My immunity has improved. And my skin and system feel cleaner.”
If you want to study about it right away, there are many books available on Amazon by the name of Surya Chikitsa. There are also many blogs and sites on solar water therapy. Or you can wait for the next edition when I will guide you on making your own Sun -charged water!
