Augusta Tower resident Neetika Agarwal stands out as an enthusiastic advocate for sustainability. Her journey began before she started the popular Whats-App group, Jaypee Minimalist, in March 2022.
Inspired by initiatives she observed on Facebook groups, Neetika envisioned a platform where residents could give away excessive or unwanted household items to those in need. The idea was simple yet profound: reduce waste by connecting people within the community who could benefit from items others no longer needed.
Neetika’s dedication to the cause is evident in the creation of the WhatsApp group and in her approach. She has written blogs to raise awareness about sustainable living and has delivered items door-to-door, ensuring they reach those who need them the most.
Inspiring stories have emerged from the act of sharing. The gesture of contributing household items, medicines etc. has illuminated many lives, highlighting the power of community and the beauty in small deeds.
Neetika proudly hosted a minimalist camp at Club 3, which was a resounding success. The event, which encouraged residents to embrace a sustainable lifestyle, saw enthusiastic participation from the community.
The first minimalist camp was featured in the Samvada June edition. The next camp is planned for September. We invite you to support the cause by either donating items or collecting them for reuse.
Neetika has been supported by a team of like-minded individuals, including Akanksha Pandey, Benita Sen, Usha Murli, Shubhra Sapru, and Manikesh Tiwary. Together, they have made Jaypee Minimalist a cornerstone of sustainable living.
Neetika’s story is a testament to the impact that one person’s vision and dedication can have on a community. Through Jaypee Minimalist, she has promoted sustainability and fostered a sense of unity and shared responsibility among residents.
Neetika Agarwal’s work reminds us of the difference small actions can make.
