Shrimad Bhagwat Katha recital was organised at the central park of Saket Dham Apartments with great excitement and devotion from 18th to 25th February, 2023.
The ceremonial events started in fact one day earlier wherein most of the devotee ladies of Saket Dham had designer Mehndi on their palms. On the opening day of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, Kalash yatra was organised from the venue and returning back after taking a round of Saket Dham society. A huge group of ladies participated in their best colourful attires carrying Kalash on their heads. Kalash Yatra procession was led by Katha Vyas Acharya Shri Ajay Kiran ji Maharaj, RWA President Pramod Maheshwary accompanied by his wif Brijesh Maheshwary and the secretary Neeru Sharma.
For Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, a beautiful pandal with canopy was decorated with flowers and balloons all around to have a fragrant ambience. A big stage was raised for the sitting of Acharya ji and the support team for Katha recital along with musical instruments and the audio systems. Elaborate arrangements were made by providing Sofas, Chairs and Mattresses etc. to accommodate the audience. Shrimad Bhagwat Katha was started on the very auspicious day of Mahashivratri with a preliminary introduction on the first day. The Katha was normally recited from 10 am to 02.30 pm daily and was accompanied with Bhajan Kirtan and also dances by a group of ladies on special events followed by aarti and bhog to Thakur ji and Parsada distribution. There was an overwhelming response from the devotees who participated not only from Saket dham and the sector but also from far flung areas. The venue remained jam packed daily with the audience. Acharya Ji’s Katha and Bhajan Kirtan presentation was so magical that the devotees got mesmerised and enjoyed it to their best. Katha events were linked with modern day life so well that it generated a lot of interest amongst the devotees compelling them to remain glued to their seats.
On subsequent days, Katha recital touched mainly Shri Krishna Avtar, Krishna leela, Matki Phoran, Chhappan Bhog, Giriraj Poojan, Krishna Rukmani vivah darshan, Krishana Sudama episode and Holi event etc, Highlight of these epics was presentation of live Krishna, Rukmani and Sudama in the audience played by the children of Saket Dham. Havana was performed on the last day followed by open Bhandara to conclude the ceremony. It was indeed a very rare lifetime experience to have such a week-long programme soaked in Bhakti Ras at Saket Dham and a memorable event to cherish forever. Jai Shri Radhey Shyam.
