Vividha family, as a ritual, organises a picnic in the month of February. Since we had a scheduled monthly meeting in February, we chose another day for an outdoor get together. Originally it was Sunder nursery Delhi but in anticipation of an ongoing protest, the venue was changed to Meghdootam park sector 50 at the last minute. This shifting of venue actually was a blessing in disguise. Those who mentioned their inability to join came to enjoy as the venue was very close to their residences.
There was no age bar as all the members enjoyed thoroughly playing outdoor games, tambola and had fun like children. Games were also selected keeping in mind the varying age groups and age related limitations. Pushpa Kaushik brought sweets and cold drinks for everyone.
Members enjoyed hot home cooked food along with a small gift from Vividha. To reduce the disposable waste, members were asked to bring their own water bottles and utensils for food. And surprisingly they obliged.
It was an enjoyable afternoon and was enjoyed by both old and new members. Vividha will celebrate floral Holi in March.
