This manhole right next to Wagh Bakri in GK2 M block market awaits one step, one slip and a disaster to happen. The manholes in many places across the city are in a similar condition after re-carpeting of roads. The level of the road becomes higher with each increasing layer of bitumen. The level of the manhole cover too needs to be increased to be at par with the increased level of the road. Why does this basic understanding of civic work need to be brought to the notice of our authorities? This sheer and dangerous negligence should be held accountable.
