Meet Sheel Bajaj (104, Tower A Carlton 4), one of the oldest members of the Carlton estate. She recently celebrated her 80th birthday in full gusto along with her friends. Lively, bold and extremely affectionate Mrs Bajaj is the life of any party. However this month, the ladies decided to celebrate the milestone birthday with a bang!
The afternoon began with a bunch of innovative games followed by some yummy munchies. Dancing and singing heightened the spirit of the celebration. “ I like to spend time with my friends, they are like an extended family to me, always making me feel special, but this party will always remain close to me”, Mrs Bajaj mentioned.
Cricket reactions:
Whilst India did not win the World Cup, it won the hearts of many, with their amazing performance of remaining unbeaten in all the matches leading to the finals, the Indian team was on fire! However the luck was not in our favour this year, which led to many disappointed fans, here’s a glimpse of what the public felt. “ Kohli outperformed this year, he deserves all the accolades”, “why did they play so well if they wanted to lose in the end”, and “ India’s growth in cricket as a stable, mature team is very evident, they played wonderfully doesn’t matter if we lost, we killed it at world cup”, “In my opinion India won the world cup when we won against Pakistan, I’m content with that”, “ I’m proud of our team, they worked hard and played well. There can only be one winner”. So whilst some loved it, some were disappointed. Either way, it is pretty evident that this was one of the best world cups.
