Sharodotsov 2023 by Ananda Dhara

Ananda Dhara celebrated ‘Sharodotsov 2023’ from 20 to 24 October in the park in front of PH4 with religious fervour, enthusiasm and excitement.

Durga Puja is more than a festival; it is a carnival and emotion that brings glad tidings. It is a cultural extravaganza that no Bengali ever wants to miss & every non – Bengali wants to experience at least once.

Ananda Dhara, as the name suggests, means ‘flow of happiness’. It was much achieved in Sharodotsov. It was full of cordiality, heartiness, honesty & sincerity. It was successful in its aim of bringing more people to this Puja.

Ananda Dhara celebrated Durga Puja with two activities that must be applauded. It donated notebooks and stationery items to the underprivileged students at Vatika School. It was a small step taken to shape the ‘Future India’.

Ananda Dhara also celebrated Durga Puja with senior citizens at an old age home. The elderly bubbled with energy as they shook a leg with us and hummed to the tunes of evergreen and religious songs. It was satisfying to hear their joyous laughs.

On the cultural side, Ananda Dhara entertained with its colourful cultural programs every evening – devotional songs, talent shows, ladies’ group dance, dandiya etc.On Navami, visitors loved the Band performance – a perfect finale!

It was truly a ‘Carnival’. Meeting new people, hearty bhog, lots of cha, dhaak, dhunuchi naach, friendly competitions such as Razzle Dazzle, Quiz and so on.

Lastly, the way Ananda Dhara honoured elderly people needs a special mention. It gave us an opportunity to showcase our talent through a retro – themed fashion show. My appreciation for this!

My warmest congratulations to Ananda Dhara on its achievement of a successful Durga Puja. Wishing them more success in future!
