On World Environment Day
On the occasion of World Environment Day celebrations, an award function was held on 22 May at the MCD headquarters Town Hall by the MCD of Delhi, Mayor Shelly Oberoi. She felicitated several NGO’s, various 3 RRR refuse reduce and recycle centers in different wards and 26 individuals as Swacchata Champions under the Sahbhagita Scheme.
They were presented certificates for their decentralized work in internal composting. We are very proud to say our colony resident Shammi Talwar (A 145 1st floor) was also honoured and gifted a certificate for her exemplary work related to waste segregation internal composting, plastic free and other environment related endeavours within the colony and her untiring efforts to make it a zero-waste colony. Heartiest Congratulations to Shammi Talwar. A champion of the causes she believes in raising awareness in plastic free world. With this year’s theme ‘Beat Plastic Pollution!’ Let’s all work together to make Delhi a cleaner greener place’, she says.
