Sewing a Greener Future: Mother-Daughter Duo Leads the Way

On July 3, Jyoti and Kaveri Bhatia, a dynamic mother-daughter duo, hosted a workshop to create cloth bags from old linen and garments under the auspices of an NGO. This innovative initiative celebrated ‘No Plastic Bag Day’ and promoted a plastic-free lifestyle.

Residents enthusiastically brought their old pants, bedsheets, kurtas, and more to upcycle into unique bags. Together, they learned to design, cut, and sew their creations. The freshly stitched bags were then distributed in Sector 50 and 41 markets, replacing poly bags and spreading awareness about sustainable living.Let’s prolong the spirit of Plastic Free July and make a lasting impact on our planet!
