Sewer Lines Laying Project Is Causing Lot of Inconvenience for the Residents

After seeing deteriorating conditions of inner roads of B Block, residents lodged various complaints of water logging because of laying of new sewer lines and heavy rains. Contractor has not taken care after laying pipe lines and neglected the area. Mud lying on both sides of the dug area, which is causing lot of inconvenience to the residents. There were occasions when senior citizens were not able to move out of their houses and many residents had to climb the pipes to enter and go out of their houses. There was an incident when a car with kids, mini tempo got stuck in the muddy road.

Few residents were also deprived of water supply in their houses for long hours because the water lines were broken during the digging. RW&CS helped in getting the water supply line repaired.

Various big craters have been formed in the middle of the roads making roads unfit for even walking. It is learnt that truckloads of mud after digging have been moved out of the sector for unknown reason. There’s no check on the contractor as he should have put the mud back in the craters and made the roads level again instead of removing the mud to elsewhere location.

Govind Sharma, President RWCS after receiving many complaints from the residents talked to DGM to ensure smooth working of the project and insisted that the contractor increases his man power so that after laying pipes the road level is maintained either manually or with the use of a road roller.

On the request of residents Govind Sharma called an urgent meeting of residents, it was highlighted that the bad situation has arisen due to lack of supervision and poor quality of work. Anshuman, Girish Aneja, NL Arora, Pradeep Garg, Mr Narang, JE Mr Pandey, Mr Mahaveer manager and munshi of contractor attended the meeting and highlighted the problems faced by the residents.

Ongoing problems were shared by the resident and residents have said that our sector reflects world’s poor quality of civil work. DGM, Noida Authority assured that henceforth there will be no such problem and smooth flow of work will be maintained. Atul Gupta rightly said that it’s better to stop disturbing RW&CS working as they are doing their best in the interest of residents.
