Last Friday I was approached by Shankar from D -22. He claims to be the caretaker for the partially constructed house on this plot. He mentioned that the neighbours have been harassing him due to the presence of several stray dogs around this plot. I was surprised to know that these dogs had not been spayed / neutered. So, I managed to coordinate a pickup of these dogs today by Dr Devi’s team who is managing the ABC (Animal Birth Control) Cell under contract with Noida Authority. A total of 5 dogs have been picked up at around 6 :15 pm today. Unfortunately, their mother remained untraceable so another attempt will have to be made soon to round her up too. If all goes well these dogs, post operative care spanning 3-5 days will be dropped back after being administered anti rabies vaccine. I wish the caregivers / feeders of these dogs had been a little proactive and arranged for timely spaying of their mother too. Anyway, I am glad at least 5 dogs were rounded up and sent with the efforts of Shankar.
