Alzheimer’s and Dementia are very common disorders, especially in Senior Citizens. Dignity Foundation took the initiative to spread awareness about Alzheimer’s and
Dementia. On 16th September we organised a program In Artemis Hospital Gurgaon in collaboration with Gurgaon Laughter Club and supported by Artemis Hospital. Residents participated and had a Doctor talk, and some cultural programs followed by Dinner.
Another program was organised by Dignity Foundation at their Centre, located in National Media Centre. Some youngsters from college were invited for a walkathon where the slogans “Fight with Dementia” and “Dementia bhagana hai” were raised.
This was followed by a talk on dementia by Dr. S. K. Minocha from AIIMS. The Chief Guests of the event were Ambassador Lakhan Mehrotra and Dr. Umesh Sehgal, President Laughter Club Gurgaon. The event also included song renditions and Dandiya performance by members, along with Laughter Yoga.
