Members of Senior Citizens Forum, Prateek Wisteria, in their special general body meeting held on July 26 elected new executive committee for the year 2023-24. The meeting started with recitation of Hanuman Chalisa and Gayatri Mantra. After that president of the forum J. P. Mathur welcomed all the members present and dissolved the existing committee. He then requested HarveenGirhotra, election officer to proceed with the election of new executive committee. Girhotra, in turn explained the procedure to be followed for the conduct of elections as also the posts for which elections would be there.
He then requested Mukesh Bhasin for his help in the election process. This was followed by nominations for the post of president, vice president , secretary, Jt. Secretary, treasurer and five executive members. After the nomination process following office bearers was declared unanimously elected.
President – J. P. Mathur, vice president- Ramesh Bandlish, secretary -VirBhanSood, Jt. Secretary -Nanak Chand Rangani, treasurer- Dr. N. K. Berry. The executive members are Ashok Sharma, Harpal Singh Baliyan, Man Mohan Singh, S. M. Bhardwaj and Y. P. Jain.
After having been declared elected by the election officer the new committee was felicitated by the house and members assumed charge of their duties. Some of the newly elected members also shared their vision about the future activities of the Forum. To celebrate the occasion members also presented songs and dance program.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the secretary followed by the light refreshment.
