Second October was celebrated as senior citizens day in the Library of Recreational Center. Celebration was on a small scale but it elated the seniors with respect, honor and importance given to them. A super senior citizen Sri Jagdish Jain turned 102. He was supposed to attend the function but could not do that because of his ill health, so our most agile and dedicated to mission, Neetu Agarwal visited him on behalf of the organizers and did the honour.
Jain Saheb stays alone and loves having people over and welcome’s them with sweets from the fridge. He is well versed in Urdu and Shero Shayari is his hobby. He was touched by the garlanding of white Mogra flowers which he ultimately used on his wife’s photograph.
Similarly, other seniors both male and female in the crowded hall were honoured. You will see Neetu’s warmth and enthusiasm in honoring the seniors. It reflects softness for elders and Indian sanskars. Here is a girl who is rushing from the Recreation Club to Shiv Mandir to pay respect to Chopra Sahib with moti ki mala. He was absolutely delighted. Let us take inspiration from this girl to be as helpful as possible to our older generation. Keep it up Neetu, God bless you.
