The security system of Sushant Lok was recently beefed up when Harinder Nagpal – the security officer left the job and the very experienced Balu Singh Chauhan, joined with immediate effects. Dalwani, the General Secretary of the SLRWA, also shared his contact no. to the residents, after informing them on September 8th. In a few days, Mr. Chauhan’s prompt report was released after conducting the training programme for the guards, he had covered the key security protocols:
a. Gate Duty- The guards are instructed to manage the entry and exit points, ensuring only authorized vehicles can access the premises.
b. Post duty- This involves instructing guards of their responsibility at specific posts i.e. monitoring surveillance cameras, patrolling designated areas, or controlling access to restricted areas.
c. Fire Safety- Guards learn about fire prevention measures, emergency evacuation procedures, and how to use fire equipment effectively to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of occupants in the event of fire breakdown.
d. Visitor Manoeuvring- Training includes the protocol for verifying the identity of visitors, issuing visitor passes, and providing appropriate assistance while maintaining security standards.
Mr. Chauhan is of the opinion that these critical areas, if covered well initially, will lead to many more nuances as the security circle will be strengthened. Residents are happy to know that fewer thefts will occur, illegal entries will diminish, and unwanted kiosks will be accounted for. Hoping the C block residents will sleep more peacefully knowing the strong security that was the need of the hour, is working efficiently in Mr. Chauhan’s guidance.
