Sector Residents Win Big at Competitions Held at Kalibari Mandir

This Durga Puja, Kalibari Mandir organised events and themes about women’s safety and calling for justice in crimes against women. On 6th Oct, the theme of the painting competition was ‘Ajker Tillotamma’. These paintings were later displayed on a board near the stage. 9 children won consolation prizes in the drawing competition in the Grade A category (up to Class 1). They are Pankti Choudhary, Vedant Choudhary, Saksham Arora, Jessica, Ishaan, Satyam Upadhyay, Khushi, Riya Khanna, and Radhika. They are all students of Sumit Sachdeva (B-206).

 Little Ishita Gupta (B-Block) won the 3rd Prize in the Hopping Race.

 In the Rangoli Competition held on 6th Oct, Sunita Patra (B-86) got the first prize for her rangoli of Ganeshji, while Dr. Puja Wadhwa (A-196) got the third prize for her rangoli of Ma Durga, made with expired medicines.

 Anandomela Competition (the cooking competition) was organised on 8th Oct with convener Sharmilla Maity (D-60B). Participants from not only Sector 26 but other sectors too took part in the three categories—vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and dessert. Participants had to bring prepared food and were allowed to sell the food too. Prizes were given by three judges for table presentation, plate presentation, and food dish. From the sector, Sangeeta Singh (A-166) got 1st Prize in the non-veg category for Biryani, while Anju Gupta (B-147) got 3rd Prize in the veg category for Dal Gujiya.
