Sector Resident Alleges Assault By An ICARE Employee, Seeks Justice

Here’s a Copy of His Letter Sent to Samvada Editors and RWCS Officials

“There was an elderly man with black goggles who came out of the ICARE gate where I was filling water in a bottle. The man asked me where the DAWAKHANA was, and I asked one of the guards to help him out. But I didn’t get an appropriate answer. Just then an employee of ICARE walked in, and I urged him to help the man. But he rudely replied, “It’s not my duty, so why should I bother?”

Also in the past, I have been helping so many ICARE patients who line up in front of the ICARE gate in front of our house on humanitarian grounds.

Then I came out where a rickshaw wala was standing. The above- mentioned employee also came there, and I said, “Couldn’t you have helped the man on humanitarian grounds? Had I not helped you with your children in studies when you begged that you couldn’t pay much?”

Listening to this, he started abusing me and said, “Sale, tere baap ka pani hai jo tu ICARE se chura kar le ja raha hai. Aur toone kab mere bachhon ko padhaya tha be.”

Listening to this, I got furious and said I would report this to Dr. Choudhary and get you suspended.

Listening to this, he pushed me, assaulted me, and hurled abuse after abuse.

I and my parents are grateful to Dr. Sushil Choudhary and ICARE HOSPITAL for treating my mom’s eyes. Dr. Chaudhary personally came and apologised to my parents for the behaviour of his employee.

My parents told me that we must respect the doctor for his work and bury the matter. But I have just now sent it to the Samvada editors and the RW&CS officials.

Can we allow such hoodlums to behave so aggressively? Who do you approach for such aggressive acts?

Request RW&CS to follow up on the matter.”

-From an aggrieved resident of Sector 26
