Festivals are an amazing way to celebrate with family and friends. The enthusiasm in the city is evident as you find Ganpati idols being sold on every nukkad. Club 26 welcomed the coming of Ganesha with great zeal. They brought a big decorated idol of Ganesha and took out a procession around the sector so that everyone could seek blessings of lord Ganesha .The sthapna of Ganesha was done thereafter in a well-decorated club hall. Two priests performed puja and after completing all the rituals, the Amrit vaani paath was done.
There were many events planned for the evening – sector kids came prepared with dances on Ganesha and then there was bhajan sandhya wherein the members enjoyed soulful bhajans by professional singers. After wrapping up a day full of many activities, the next day too was quite engaging as it was the day to bid farewell to Ganesha. The Vindhyachal hall was packed to its full capacity for the same. The day started with Sundarkand path, havan, Ganesha arti and prasad vitran. The festival ended with the visarjan of Ganesha and bhandara.
Manju & Bharti Gupta, residents of C-182, also organized a one-day Ganeshotsav at their home. They invited all their neighbours and friends and called professional singers for performing bhajans. Their melodious voice kept the audience deeply drowned and the positive vibe in the atmosphere was felt by everyone sitting there. They also arranged for a lavish dinner for all attendees.
Sujata Goel, resident of B-222, organized a workshop in which she taught eco-friendly Ganesha with clay to the kids who were too excited later to see their hand-made Ganeshas.
At Kalibari Mandir, a beautiful idol of Ganesh Ji was brought in for the puja. Made of deep black granite, the idol was kept on the ground floor, and devotees came in large numbers for darshan. This idol will later be installed on the first floor of the temple.
Kanchan Aggarwal (D-147), who organises a beautiful Ganesh Pujan every year at her residence, did not do so as she lost her husband recently. Many residents were overheard saying how they looked forward to the evening aarti and missed it.
Chadhas, resident of D-161, organised a massive program for Ganesh Utsav. The idol of Ganesh ji was brought home on 7th Sept. After arti & Puja, it was taken for visarjan.
