Dussehra Vijayadashmi was organised by SDFRWS at the Nandan Park on Sat 12 Oct. Three colourful effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkaran and Meghnath were erected. All three were set ablaze and as sound of crackers filled the air children clapped and enjoyed the evening. This year special emphasis was given to senior residents by providing seating arrangements for comfortably viewing the celebrations. Spl attraction was chaat stalls of Santosh Mishra (Ex Club caterer). Chaat stalls of gole guppa, papri bhalla chaat, dahi bhalla, aloo tikki were available on sale. The whole programme was managed by SDF Samiti (Godfrey Pereira President, Kavita Kharbanda Vice President and Secretary Srishti Nijhawan). The program was hosted and compered by Mala Mathur. SDF Samiti thanked all the residents (especially senior residents and children) of the sector that made the Dussehra function a big success.
