It is never easy to work in a large team with strong personalities. It becomes even more difficult when the team is working without a common profit motive. The current SCRWA EC team has proved this right twice within 14 months. First, the President elected in elections resigned in December 2022 and now 2 EC members Mr Dinesh Nandan Jain and Mr Anurag Arneja resigned in the first week of February 2024.
Most residents would have heard the reasons from one side or the other. Yours truly has written a long post about this and presented one side of the picture. I would just want to reiterate that life is neither simple nor black and white. It is due to internal contradictions in the team that a few have decided to leave, and the blame must be shared by the team. Lots to learn. We are all neighbours and hope that we can continue to be friends.
Notwithstanding the two exits, SCRWA EC is proud to announce the completion of its first mini-project of providing safety on roads. Four-speed breakers were installed on Club Road in February. The funds were made available through the efforts of Mrs. Seema Gupta of F-4 who collected infrastructure funds from a building site on Club Road. The project was overseen by her husband Mr Sanjay Gupta. Mr. Yash Suneja from F-42, through his business venture, has contributed 16 barricades duly approved by Gurugram Police for key roads of South City-1. We hope that such examples of coming together by residents will continue and we will have a safer South City-1.
To come back to the goodbyes from the EC team, I can just hum the song by The Beatles:
You say, “Goodbye” and I say, “Hello, hello, hello “I don’t know why you say, “Goodbye”, I say, “Hello, hello, hello”
And the song to hum for resident cooperation must be “Come Together” again by The Beatles.
