Continuing the tradition of distributing token gifts on festivals, SBWS M.C decided to distribute Dry Fruit “Potlis”, containing almonds & Kishmish to around 400 members of SBWS.
Accordingly, the complimentary beautifully packed packets were delivered at the members residences on 20 and 21 Oct just prior to Diwali.
Before starting the distribution, Bhog was offered in our Mandir & Pooja was performed by Pandit Ji to bless each resident with good health & wealth.
A few residents who were travelling were contacted later, as per their availability & packets were duly delivered to them.
SBWS organises many functions during the year, where, in addition to cultural programmes, complimentary lunch or dinner is also served. A few such occasions are AGM, A E Awards function, Karva Chauth function or Holi etc.
However, it was felt by the MC that many senior residents and working couples were not able to join the festivities. The MC wanted to reach out to each and every member and hence this practice was started in 2021. SBWS distributed “Gujiyas” on Holi, Cookies last Diwali and fruit cakes with a desk calendar on New Year.
This year in 2022, Gujiyas were sent on Holi & Dry fruit packets this year on Diwali. A beautifully designed card, wishing Happy Diwali was also sent with the gift packet.
