This year’s Saraswati Puja which befell on Wednesday the 14th of Feb, was celebrated with much pomp and show by the C block residents. A formal invitation was sent by Subir Ghosh; who heads the Sushant Cultural Society, inviting all and giving the details of the organizing event. The puja timing was 10 am onwards and Prasad’s distribution was from 12:0 to 33 pm. The event was organized in the C Block Community Centre aided by the enthusiastic lady members particularly those who made the event a successful one even when it was a working day that affected the footfall but the crowd gathered in the evening.
The day commenced with the invocation of Maa Saraswati, followed by puja and havan, Prasad was distributed to all with a sit-in arrangement then puja was concluded with sandhya aarti. It was heartening to see the younger generation participating in the event wholeheartedly, the elders did their job in instilling good social traits into younger ones.
