Saras, is an exhibition of beautifully crafted rural producers and traditional arts by Self Help Groups and Rural artisans. It has been organised by the Ministry of Development and NIRDPR every year in Gurgaon for 25 years. This Mela is one of the most prestigious initiatives by the Haryana Govt, it’s not just an exhibition of art and craft of India it reveals a story of rural women with crowns of Entrepreneurs at the National level.
Recently, the exhibition being held from 26 October to 11 November at Leisure Valley Park Sector 29 in Gurgaon which has a collection of Sarees and suits from Odisha, Bihar, Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Kerala bed sheets from UP woollens from Jammu, Punjab Dry fruits decorations from all States, Sweets from Haryana Bajra laddoos, Besan Burfi, Murraba and Achaars from Bihar.
On the cultural front, various performances are also being held at the event. One of them was of the popular Punjabi artist Daler Mehndi.
