Samvada Revived in Sector 44

Residents Hope for Civic Improvements

Samvada has a unique proposition for the people of NCR as it provides a great platform for connecting people and raising their local issues at their sector level. We, the people of Sector 44, had a great association with it till 2020 when the pandemic hit and everything went haywire. Enough written about what Covid did with our lives across the world; we were not an exception, and there is no need to elaborate on it now. So it is a heartening development that Samvada is restarting its Sector-44 edition this month.

A lot has changed in the last five years for us at Stellar Greens as our surroundings have changed drastically. Earlier too we were facing a huge issue of encroachments of pavements and open land around our apartment, and for the last couple of years, it has gone from bad to worse. Along with private buses and commercial vehicles, which are parked adjacent to the Noida authority park right opposite our apartment, around 60-odd poor families have made open land their homes in makeshift tents, and they are increasing by the day.

Besides this, e-rickshaws, though a common and needed transport medium across Noida, which runs in hundreds in numbers originating their journey from Sadarpur, near our apartment, create a nuisance on a daily basis as they park their vehicles haphazardly right outside our gate, especially during the evening hours. The pavement area opposite our apartment is slowly turning out to be a small snacks market, from momos to eggs to falooda wala, all has set up their thelas or kiosks there.

Last but not least, during the wedding season we face very loud DJ noise that breaks all decibel levels, and despite many of our residents complaining to local police, the noise pollution has not lowered even a bit. Hopefully, the Noida Authority and Police will wake up soon and take notice of the above issues and provide some solace to Stellar Greens residents.
