Roads in GK-2 had been in a very bad shape for as long as one could remember. We, at Samvada, have been diligently fighting for the cause of improving the colony infrastructure since the time immemorial and our September`22 issue had even carried a cover story on the awful condition of our roads. In December`22, we met up with our newly elected MCD Councillor during which she assured us that the colony residents would see improvements on the civic infrastructure of our colony over the next few months. The details of this interaction were carried in our January`23 issue. We are glad to report that most of the major roads in the colony have now been freshly carpeted in the last few weeks. These roads bear a new look befitting the status of a prestigious colony like ours. Although a few interior roads in the colony still lie in a state of disrepair, we hope that these too would get fixed now that the road carpeting activity in GK-2 has begun in earnest.
