We started taking introductory sessions on Sahaja Yoga, a form of meditation taught by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, after the Vasant Vihar Club leader-ship held a session on “Peace and joy through meditation – the Sahaja Yoga way”. This session was taken on April 7, 2023 by Dr Rajiv Kumar (Ex vice Chairman Niti Aayog, and well attended. Subsequently, on request of some of the participants, we started holding regular sessions from April 27 onwards, every Thursday from 7 to 8 pm. They are free of cost.
Briefly, Sahaja Yoga is a meditative practice, based on restoring inner balance, resulting in peace and calm. Its objective is, to bring about a connection of our inner self, with the all pervading energy through a gentle and simple process. Scientific in its basis, it focuses on the sympathetic and parasympathetic energy system and restoring mental, emotional and spiritual balance.
We continue to hold these sessions on Thursday evenings at the club. Every session, has some new participants and some who have come before and are keen on delving deeper into the practice that they say gives them inner peace and joy.
