Despite relentlessly working through dust and din under incongruous conditions in Kashmir, the splendid achievements of our bordermen remain unrecognised, as this force lacks an art of standardised apple polishing, which is a basic requirement to adumbrate one’s achievements.
Nevertheless, indelible sacrifices made by the valiant bordermen in Kashmir and Punjab (during terrorism) will go down in the history of BSF along with the tremendous courage and commitment to wipe out terrorism from Kashmir, which is laudable.
It is a hard fact that men behind the curtains are hardly adored. But, it would be a sheer injustice if glorious sacrifices made by one of the finest paramilitary force on the earth and its Unsung Heroes remains buried under the glossy layers of history.
After suppression of opulently mounted terrorism designed, fomented and executed by our neighbouring country Pakistan, Punjab has again experienced a glimpse of prosperity and peace not only by the dedication and perseverance of its gallant peasantry but also by their sheer strong will power to fight against the menace of marauding terrorism.
