After the stringent ban on the burning of effigies and bursting of firecrackers, SBWS has been holding a “Ram Lila” with great religious fervor since the year 2022. This year, the celebrations were held on 9th Oct. with much fanfare. Professional artists and a professional DJ were engaged for the “Ram Lila. Residents look forward to this event with high expectations, and children are quite excited.Like in the past years, this time too it was a sort of house full.
The event started with “Ganesh Pooja,” performed by the Sr.Pandit Ji of our Shiv mandir, and a ceremonial lamp was lit by the MC CC members of SBWS. All the artistes were welcomed and felicitated by the members of the Cultural & Managing Committee.
The seven-act show, which started at 6.30 pm, lasted for over two hours.
A sumptuous spread of delicacies comprising Pav Bhaji, Mattar Kulcha, Rajma Rice, Desi Ghee Moong Dal Halwa, Kulfi, and Masala tea was served by the society on a complimentary basis. More than 375 members and residents relished the dinner.
Many compliments were received by the M.C. of SBWS for the magnificent show.
As usual, compering for the evening was done by Priti Gupta of S 176, and decorations were arranged by the cultural committee members.
